1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GameTome (via web https://gametome.app, Electron desktop app, or Android/iOS mobile apps), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please discontinue using the platform.

2. User Accounts & Security

You must create an account to log games, post reviews, and build custom lists. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and maintaining a strong password that meets our security guidelines (at least 8 characters, uppercase, lowercase, numbers/symbols).

3. Community Guidelines & Content

GameTome is a community built on a shared passion for gaming. When submitting reviews, comments, or lists, you agree to:

• Treat all members with respect and refrain from harassment, hate speech, spam, defamatory language, or abuse.
• Enable the "Spoiler" flag on any review containing major plot twists or storyline revelations.
• Refrain from scraping, reverse-engineering, or attacking the platform's API and servers.

4. Intellectual Property & Game Metadata

User-generated content (written reviews, custom list titles) remains the property of the author, granting GameTome a non-exclusive license to display it on the platform. All video game titles, logos, registered trademarks, and cover artwork belong to their respective publishers, developers, and IGDB (Twitch Interactive).

5. Voluntary Donations & Support

GameTome is 100% free to use. Donations made through Ko-fi or Buy Me a Coffee are voluntary financial gifts to help cover server, database, and API operational expenses. They do not constitute commercial purchases.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

GameTome is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we strive for high availability, fast response times, and secure automated backups, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service due to upstream API dependencies.

7. Account Termination & Updates

We reserve the right to suspend accounts that severely violate community standards or compromise system integrity. These terms may be updated periodically to reflect new platform capabilities.
